Deine Aufgaben

Werde Teil unseres Teams als Legal Counsel Data Privacy (m/w/d) und übernimm die Rolle eines vertrauenswürdigen Beraters in allen Fragen des Datenschutzes und der Datenregulierung. In dieser Position unterstützt du unsere Stakeholder mit fachlicher Expertise, setzt Prioritäten und befähigst die Organisation, Daten verantwortungsvoll zu nutzen und gleichzeitig Risiken zu minimieren. Deine Arbeit trägt dazu bei, innovative Lösungen zu gestalten, die Compliance und geschäftliche Anforderungen in Einklang bringen und den Datenschutz als zentralen Bestandteil unserer Prozesse sicherstellen.

Du entwickelst und setzt Datenschutzstrategien um, indem du Prioritäten mit Stakeholdern basierend auf Risiko, Relevanz und geschäftlichen Anforderungen abstimmst.
Maßgeschneiderte, praxisnahe Rechtsberatung zu Datenschutz und Compliance gehört zu deinem Alltag, damit Unternehmensziele sicher erreicht werden.
Du erstellst, prüfst und verhandelst datenschutzrelevante Verträge und stellst die erforderliche rechtliche Dokumentation sicher (z. B. Privacy Impact Assessments und Data Protection Impact Assessments).
Im Incident Management übernimmst du Verantwortung: Beratung bei Datenschutzverletzungen, Bearbeitung von Kundenbeschwerden und Risikominimierung.
Die Überwachung und Anpassung an sich entwickelnde Vorschriften (z. B. DSGVO, BDSG) sowie die Aktualisierung von Richtlinien und Verfahren liegt in deinem Aufgabenbereich.
Gemeinsam mit dem Team arbeitest du an innovativen und skalierbaren Compliance-Lösungen, die eine verantwortungsvolle Datennutzung und neue Technologien im europäischen Kontext ermöglichen.

Dein Profil

Ein abgeschlossenes Jurastudium (Master oder gleichwertig) sowie die Zulassung zur Anwaltschaft bilden die Grundlage deiner Expertise – idealerweise in Deutschland.
Mehrjährige Erfahrung in der Beratung und Umsetzung von Datenschutzvorschriften in einem internationalen oder EU-weiten Umfeld ist für dich selbstverständlich.
Fundierte Kenntnisse der Datenschutzgesetze und Compliance-Anforderungen, insbesondere DSGVO und BDSG, bringst du mit.
Erfahrung in der Durchführung von Datenschutz-Folgenabschätzungen und im Management von Datenschutzrisiken gehört zu deinem Kompetenzbereich.
Du hast bereits erfolgreich Datenschutzanforderungen in komplexen Geschäfts- und Technologieumgebungen umgesetzt.
Deutsch und Englisch beherrschst du fließend in Wort und Schrift und kannst komplexe Sachverhalte klar und verständlich kommunizieren.
Organisationstalent, die Fähigkeit, mehrere Prioritäten gleichzeitig zu steuern, sowie praxisnahe Empfehlungen zu geben, zeichnen dich aus.
Eine proaktive, selbstständige Arbeitsweise mit hohem Qualitätsanspruch und Teamorientierung rundet dein Profil ab.

Your tasks

Join our team as Legal Counsel Data Privacy and become a trusted advisor on all matters of data protection and regulation. In this role, you will guide stakeholders with expert advice, align priorities, and empower the organization to use data responsibly while mitigating risks. Your work will help shape innovative solutions that balance compliance with business needs, ensuring privacy remains at the core of our operations.

Develop and implement privacy strategy by aligning priorities with stakeholders based on risk, relevance, and business needs.
Provide expert, tailored legal advice on data protection and privacy compliance to enable business objectives.
Draft, review, and negotiate privacy-related contracts and ensure proper legal documentation, including Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
Support incident management by advising on data breaches, handling customer complaints, and mitigating privacy risks.
Monitor and adapt to evolving regulations (e.g., GDPR, BDSG) and update policies and procedures accordingly.
Collaborate on innovative and scalable compliance solutions that enable responsible data use and new technologies in a European context.

Your profile

Full law qualification (Master’s degree in law or equivalent) and eligibility for bar admission; German qualified lawyer preferred.
3+ years of experience advising on and implementing privacy regulations in a global or EU-wide company.
Strong expertise in data privacy laws and compliance frameworks, especially GDPR and BDSG.
Proven ability to conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and manage privacy risks effectively.
Track record of implementing privacy requirements in complex business and technology environments.
Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken, with excellent communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide clear, actionable guidance in complex settings.
Proactive, independent work style with strong commitment to quality, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration.
