Deine Aufgaben
Zur Umsetzung unserer Vision, einen fairen Gebrauchtwagenmarkt für alle zu ermöglichen,
suchen wir einen Business Development Manager (m/w/d) in oder im Großraum München. In dieser Rolle identifizierst, kontaktierst und verhandelst du Partnerschaften im B2B‑Umfeld der Automobilbranche, mit besonderem Fokus auf den Kfz‑Händler‑Markt. Ziel ist es, die Sichtbarkeit und Marktdurchdringung von CARFAX in Deutschland weiter auszubauen.
Zu den Kernaufgaben gehört die Identifikation und Entwicklung neuer B2B‑Partnerschaften im Automotive‑Umfeld sowie die Ansprache und Beratung potenzieller Partner zu den Lösungen und Mehrwerten von CARFAX.
Die wachsende Nachfrage von Autohäusern wird aktiv betreut, während gleichzeitig eine enge Zusammenarbeit mit internen Teams erfolgt, um das Händlersegment gezielt weiterzuentwickeln.
Darüber hinaus wird die Wholesale‑ und Reseller‑Strategie umgesetzt und ein reibungsloser Zugang zu den Vehicle History Reports sichergestellt.
Eigenständige Vertragsverhandlungen sowie die wirtschaftliche und strategische Ausgestaltung der Vereinbarungen liegen ebenfalls im Verantwortungsbereich.
Die Rolle umfasst außerdem die Zusammenarbeit mit internationalen Business‑Development‑Teams sowie die Repräsentation von CARFAX auf relevanten Branchenveranstaltungen.
Dein Profil
Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung im Bereich Sales oder Business Development bildet die Grundlage, ergänzt durch fundierte Kenntnisse in einer automobilnahen Branche.
Erfahrung im Produktmanagement sowie ausgeprägte Verhandlungskompetenz auf Management‑Ebene werden ebenso vorausgesetzt wie eine ergebnisorientierte, pragmatische Arbeitsweise.
Eine klare Kommunikationsstärke, Eigeninitiative und ein strukturierter, hands‑on‑Ansatz zeichnen die Persönlichkeit aus.
Sehr gute Deutsch‑ und Englischkenntnisse ermöglichen die souveräne Zusammenarbeit in einem internationalen Umfeld.
Zudem besteht die Bereitschaft und Motivation, in einem internationalen Team zu arbeiten und die für die Position erforderliche Reisetätigkeit (bis zu 50 %) wahrzunehmen.

Your tasks
At CARFAX, we provide trusted information that helps millions of people to shop, buy and sell used cars with more confidence. Our flagship service is the Vehicle History Report. A curriculum vitae for used vehicles to solve the asymmetric information problem in the used car market. Our customers access an extensive multinational database consisting of +38 billion historical records related to over 1 billion cars in +21 countries across Europe and North America.
Today, we are a team of +100 people in six European countries – who work together on one common vision: “A fair used car market for everyone.”
To put this vision into reality, we are looking for a Business Development Manager in or around Munich to identify, contact and negotiate agreements in the automotive industry sector (B2B) with a specific focus on the Car Dealer vertical. The objective is to increase the visibility and penetration of CARFAX in the German market.
Your role:
Identify potential partners and opportunities in the B2B business, secure meetings with them and introduce the CARFAX models, services & value propositions
Support the growing demand from Car Dealers and cooperate closely with our central functions to drive growth in this segment
Implement our wholesale-/ reseller strategy to assure convenient access to our core product, the Vehicle History Reports
Negotiate contract terms that protect and grow the products, financial interests and resources of CARFAX
Work closely with our Business Development teams in other European markets
Represent CARFAX at various local conferences
Your profile
Your profile:
5+ years of relevant job experience in Sales/Business Development
Experience working in an automotive related branch
Product Management and high-level negotiating experience
Output driven, results oriented and hands-on working style
Strong communicator and proactive approach
Excellent language skills in German and English
Ability and desire to work in an international team
Ability to travel as required by the position (up to 50%)
